My name is Victoria Umoren. Currently, I work as a freelance English tutor, helping students improve their communication skills online. However, I’m passionate about technology, and I’m expanding my skills in cloud development.
2. What sparked your interest in cloud development, and how did our bootcamp help you achieve your goals?
My interest in cloud development grew as I saw how digital platforms make learning accessible worldwide. The Utiva Bootcamp helped me build a foundation in cloud skills that will allow me to integrate tech solutions into my tutoring practice and possibly pursue cloud development professionally
3.How did your background (prior education/experience) influence your decision to pursue cloud development?
My background in education taught me the value of flexible, scalable solutions, which cloud development offers. Seeing how technology can make resources available to students around the globe inspired me to learn more about it.
4. How did you first hear about Utiva?
I learned about Utiva through social media. I saw success stories from past participants and was inspired by their journeys.
5.What were the most challenging and rewarding parts of the bootcamp?
The most challenging part was balancing my tutoring schedule with the bootcamp workload. The rewarding part was realising how much I’d learned by the end, especially when I was able to complete my first cloud project.
6. How has Utiva impacted your learning journey into cloud development?
Utiva gave me the practical skills and confidence to begin working on real-world cloud solutions, making it an essential step in my transition into tech. What advice would you give to someone looking to break into the cloud development industry? Start with the basics and be patient. It’s a field that rewards hands-on learning, so practising with small projects can go a long way in building your confidence and skill set.

I wish I’d known just how hands-on and intense the learning process would be. It requires a time commitment, but planning my schedule around it made a big difference.

9.How do you balance work and personal life as a cloud developer?
As a cloud developer, I dedicate time to refining my cloud skills through hands-on projects and staying current with industry trends, ensuring my professional growth continues. At the same time, I make it a priority to step away from work when needed, I make time for relaxation, hobbies, and spending quality time with loved ones. By creating clear boundaries and managing my time intentionally.
10.Can you walk us through a recent project you worked on and your role in it?
My recent project involved setting up a simple cloud environment to manage my tutoring resources, such as lesson materials and student assignments. My role was to design and implement the setup, which helped me understand basic cloud principles in a practical way.
