My name is Akachukwu Okoye and I currently work with access bank as an operation 

manager. 
 

2. What inspired you to pursue a career in Data Science?​
 

What inspired me to go for Data science because I wanted more from what I was 

getting. 
 

3. How did the Utiva Data Science program shape your understanding and skills in the 

field? 

The skills I got are the essential skill for any Data Analyst, you should know how to 

collect data and clean data to make sure it is quality and gives the right result if not you 

will just be wasting your time. 
 

4. Can you tell us about a project you worked on during the bootcamp that you’re 

particularly proud of?
​

​I worked on predictive analysis and Python to predict if some customers will pay back 

their loan base on some trend and it was very existing using machine learning and 

python to make decisions because I work in a bank so we use the tools to examine if 

some customers are credit worthy or not. We also worked on excel project and some 

real estate presentations using Power Bi. So it was worth it. 
 

5. What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling in a Data Science 

Bootcamp? 
 

I would say that the Data world is competitive everyone is going into it.So you need to 

stand out with your project this will make you stand out in the room. Keep learning, Keep 

pushing and you will get it done.
