I'm Olamide Oni, a Data Analyst and I'm currently Operations Head at Access Bank, one of the prominent financial institutions in Nigeria.

How Long Have You Been in the Data Analytics Space and Why Data Analytics?

 I've immersed myself in the realm of data analytics for four years. I was drawn by the allure of leveraging my analytical prowess to unravel insights and contribute meaningfully to decision-making processes.

What Are The Challenges You Face as a Data Analyst?

As a data analyst, some challenges include navigating complex datasets, unstructured data sets, ensuring data accuracy, and effectively communicating insights to diverse audiences. Additionally, staying abreast of evolving technologies and maintaining data privacy are continual considerations in this dynamic field. Also getting a job outside Nigeria is a big challenge.

What Was Your Highest And Lowest Point Since You Started Your Journey as a Data Analyst?

My highest point was successfully implementing a data-driven strategy that significantly improved operational efficiency at my workplace. On the flip side, my lowest point involved striving to join an international team, only to be dropped due to geographical constraints. 
Despite the setback, it fueled my determination to excel locally and broaden my impact within the constraints I faced.

What role did Utiva play in your Journey to becoming a Data analyst? 

Utiva played a major role in training and shaping me to be highly proficient in data analysis. The comprehensive program provided me with valuable skills and insights that have been instrumental in my journey as a data analyst.

What Do You Aim To Achieve In The Next 12 Months In Relation To What You Currently Do in Tech? 

In the next 12 months, my aim is to further elevate my expertise in data analytics by delving into advanced machine learning techniques. Additionally, I aspire to contribute to more impactful projects, leveraging technology to drive innovative solutions within the realms of data analysis and operations.

What Are Your Long-Term Goals?

In the long term, I aim to assume a leadership role where I can influence strategic decisions, combining my technical expertise with a broader organizational impact.
